A New Blogger’s Dream Come True

When I first started blogging I went straight to Pinterest. I had no idea what to do or how I was going to do it. All I knew was that I wanted to blog and that Pinterest held a lot of answers.

I was right! Pinterest not only got me to my starting point, but it even got me all the way to the point I am at now. Which is one month into my blogging journey. I can honestly say without the help of Pinterest getting me to all those other blogs I probably would’ve quit within my first week.

The only thing those bloggers didn’t really touch on was about making your site look amazing..

I am going to be 100% honest with you, how your blog looks is one of the most important aspects of your site.

Your theme and accompanying details tell a lot about the type of site you run, how much attention you pay towards your site, and how much you care about your site.

Don’t get me wrong, content is king, but how your site looks and how easy it is to get around it has a huge impact as well.

When I go on other veteran blogger’s sites I see that the majority of them are clean cut, easy to navigate, and tell a lot about the person who is running it.

So I figured that was exactly what I needed but I had no idea where to get it!

Until I stumbled upon Creative Market.

I immediately fell in love. I was looking for a clean design for my blog and it delivered hundreds of them to me. I have bought three since discovering them, and I have even received one for free. Yes, you read that right. I got a fully responsive premium theme for free. It’s part of their weekly goodies they hand out for free! You can get free fonts, themes, add ons, you name it! If it is offered on their site, you have a chance to obtain it in one of these weekly free giveaways.Creative market free goodies

Back to the themes. They are perfect for any type of site. Since they have such a huge variety it is really easy to find one you like. My current theme is the Blog Lady Theme and I came across it by simply going to WordPress Themes at the top and scrolling through the pages until I found one that I immediately loved. It really is that simple.

I also take full advantage of all the free fonts and templates as well! Even if I don’t use them now, it’s good to know that I will have them later. They are free, so what’s there to really lose?

They also have tons of premium stuff that may not be free, but are definitely worth the money to get. And who knows? That item you want might even come on sale in the near future.creative market goodiesScreen Shot 2016-06-25 at 8.39.37 AM

How your site looks, is just as important as the content you create. Some people might not even view your content if they can’t navigate through your site, so take it seriously.

Are you ready? Head on over to Creative Market and make an account, then prepare to have your blogger’s mind blown!

    1. Yeah!
You have all this amazing content, but then your readers are confused on how to get to other things, or things are just wanky. They won’t stay long!

  1. I signed up for Creative Market years ago when I was a graphic designer. But I hadn’t even thought about using it for my blog. And I didn’t realize they had blog themes. Thanks for the info!

  2. I’ve browsed through Creative Market a few times and they have so many gorgeous things I don’t even know where to begin. I suppose that’s a good problem to have! 😉

  3. I have changed my blog’s look about 5 times in the last few weeks as I would prefer something simple, but elegant and haven’t seemed to find that “look”. Creative Market is new to me, so I will have to take a look.

    1. Yeah I think Creative Market would be a great place for you! A lot of their content is pretty elegant in nature but really simple. I think you would benefit from it a lot!

    1. Yes! I always see the freebies and I’m just like I have no idea if I’ll ever use these but I’m going to grab them anyway!

  4. I need to get a custom template for my blog. It drives me nuts cause I want my blog to be unique and beautiful. Don’t get me wrong it’s easy to navigate and quite pretty but it’s not the same as having a custom one 🙂

    1. Yeah I feel ya!
      But it’s so darn expensive!
(I know that if I wanted to do that if have to hire someone haha)
But they do give you things that could help contribute to that!
One day I’m gonna probably take a class and see what I can accomplish!
