It’s Okay

I am  20 years young as of now and I feel way older.

Not because I have done drugs and my body is aging faster than normal, but because of all the bull shit that I have encountered in my life so far. And I’m only 20. It’s not just boys either, it’s finances, debt, family, and my future. It’s a lot to weigh down on a person, ya know?

Well I’m not here to cry a river, because there are a lot of people who are, or have been in the same situation that I am in right now. Who were either kicked out and on their own early in life, or just had a family that couldn’t provide for them so they had to do it themselves.

This is to the young people, like myself, that have had to grow up way before their peers.

It’s okay.

Just because you had to grow up early, doesn’t mean your life is over. You can still have fun, and have dreams, you will probably just go the smarter route to get you there. Again, that’s okay. Not everyone is going to understand why you are the way you are, but that’s okay too. You aren’t losing any part of your life from having to grow up early unless you make it so.

I grew up more in the past 3 years, than all my peers, because I was going through real world situations that no one could, or would, help me with. I was alone getting through a lot of things, partly because no one understood, but also because even I figured none of them could help me. But that didn’t mean I had to give that group of friends up.

They aren’t necessarily the same group of people, but I do have a great group of friends to call mine. They keep me grounded and push me to continue to be my very best. I get to do child like things that at one point I couldn’t, and sometimes they call me a bore because I rationalize too many of their stupid plans. However, they are still there for me.

That’s the part of life that no matter what stage you are at, stays constant. If you apply yourself, and get out there to meet people, it will give you the chance to find that great group of people to make it work.

They’ll understand that maybe you can’t go out because you work and go to school, or that you have errands to run because you have bills to pay. Keep those people close.

Your life doesn’t end until you tell it to. Anything can be possible if you make it so.

Life was hard on you, but it isn’t over.

Meow,

Cat
