I know everyone is sick of seeing the beach in sessions,
But here we are! I got my inspiration from irenerudnykphoto’s YouTube video. She did a photoshoot with 3 models on a beach in Mexico with drenched white shirts and sandy hair and I knew immediately I wanted to shoot something similar. I am a big fan of moody photoshoots but the last one I attempted didn’t go as planned and I really wasn’t even sure if this beach session was going to happen because it is kind of starting to cool down in Virginia (at least I thought, HELLLLOOO 94 DEGREES). Then I took a gamble to see if Riley would be able to shoot within a couple of days and it all just came together from there!
What I wasn’t ready for, was how quickly I lost light!
We started shooting a little after 7 and by 7:20PM the sun was basically nonexistent! As a result, I started rushing to be able to get the shots under the pier. My main lesson for this shoot was to definitely start shooting earlier. lol.
But we had so much fun and captured such moody photos that I’m not even dwelling on losing the light!
