We took a trip to Shenandoah National Park.

The opportunity presented itself when a fellow photographer, Jose, reached out to me and Marissa wanting to take a trip to the mountains for a photoshoot. He wanted to visit Shenandoah and shoot off of Hawksbill Trail. I absolutely was not about to pass up on this opportunity and I am so glad I didn’t. This trip was one for the books! From the people, to the hike, to the view, to the photos. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better day.

Although it started with us three, it ended up being 5 of us total on this trip! Marissa, Jose, Ashley, Eli and myself all packed into Ashley’s SUV Saturday afternoon and headed to the mountains! Do not ask me why but I didn’t even think about how difficult it may be to get to the actual top until we were starting the trail. It started taking me out immediately. I honestly though I wasn’t going to make it!

Luckily Eli stayed with me to make sure I was okay and even took a bag to get some weight off of me!

But when I say it was worth it… 🥲.

All the pain just became irrelevant.

And then we got to work! There were a little bit of people up there so we made sure not to disrupt the peace as much as possible. As the girls came out in their dresses I could hear them saying, “Oh my goodness she looks gorgeous.” and “That dress is sooooo pretty!” We even had one person take Eli’s photo as he was taking one of Marissa! There was such good energy all around.

I honestly couldn’t tell you what I thought the experience would be like before we went. I really didn’t know. But I can tell you that I laughed until I cried, saw breathtaking views, and made amazing memories with some amazing people.

The amazing team! Give them a follow!
