Don’t Sweat It
That promotion you didn’t get? Don’t worry there will be others. That girl that just wasn’t all that into you? It’s okay, not everyone is going to be drinking your type of tea. There are going to be plenty of opportunities to freak out, don’t let them all bring you down. Pick yourself up from a set back and keep moving forward (my favorite quote!). Chances are that the down time you take to sweat those things, is the same time that could’ve been used to go after another opportunity.

Stop With the Negativity
We get it, bad things normally happen in threes, but the more you have that negative mindset the more likely that will be so. Negativity can be paralyzing. It can keep you from taking risks and ultimately missing out on something awesome! To make things even better, people who radiate with positivity generally attract other people who have loads of it too! Can you say party?!

Smile More
This one is probably the easiest thing you can do. It can happen even if you aren’t trying to do so. Just smile. I love to smile, and often get compliments on my smile (thank you four years of braces). But even before my smile was perfect I was often remembered by people because I smiled so much. People generally associate someone who smiles often as being kind, so maybe that will also work out in your favor. Spend more time smiling at the little things, because the less you do it the harder it will be to do it in the future.

Laugh Often
It might not even be that funny to others, but if you believe it is, GO FOR IT. Laugh your butt off until you’re crying and holding your stomach. This is life for crying out loud. All the time you’ve wasted on looking too cool means nothing when you’ve lost your laugh box. Seriously though, laughter is music to the soul. When I laugh, I feel so great about myself after and while everyone is staring because they can’t possibly see what was so funny, I am having the time of my life. I love laughing and you should too.

Love Yourself
No, not like the Justin Bieber song. I mean truly love yourself. It may seem silly that people have to be told this, but it’s actually a concept that many people struggle with everyday. Its not just about loving what you look like. Love yourself enough to let things go, to not bring yourself down every time something doesn’t go your way. Love yourself enough to eat healthy, so that you can have more energy to make it through the day. Love yourself enough to quit that pain in the butt job you hate and have no idea why you are even working it in the first place. Love yourself enough to not care what people have to say about you, because you know who you are and where you want to be. It’s something that is gained over time, but once you learn to truly love yourself you will radiate with positivity and the world will be your playground.
